This safari takes you to Lake Nakuru National Park which is one of the world’s greatest bird sanctuary. Other than the bird population of different species and particularly flamingos that carpet the lake,
the park has its fair share of wildlife that includes the endangered black rhino. You also get to spend two memorable days at the game filed plains of Maasai Mara game reserve.

Day 1
Depart Nairobi and descend into the Great Rift Valley arriving at the famous bird sanctuary of Lake Nakuru national park. Game drive around the lake shore, besides the flamingos that the lake is famous for, there are approx 400 other birds species that visit the lake. Many species of game can also be found in the park including the introduced Rothschild’s giraffe, black and white rhino, waterbuck, reedbuck, lion, buffalo, leopard, baboon and many more species of plains game.
Dinner, overnight at Nakuru lodge {approx 160 kms, Time 3hrs}

Day 2
Early morning drive past the extinct volcano of Mt longonot. Arrive at the famous Maasai Mara game reserve after lunch enjoy an afternoon of game viewing. Overnight at Mara Serena/ Mara Sarova camp/ lodge of your choice {approx 310 km, Time 5hrs}

Day 3
After breakfast , take a morning game drive with lunch at the lodge. Uninterrupted afternoon game drive in the popular reserve renowned for it’s large numbers of plain game such as wildebeest and zebra and its majestic predators. Overnight at Mara Serena lodge/ Mara Sarova camp/lodge of your choice
Day 4
After breakfast drive back to Nairobi arriving around noon. Drop off at your hotel or airport for your homebound flight , can also choose to connect with one of our other exciting safari packages.
